After a Pizza dinner , we waited for the Xmas Eve mass to start.
The bella started ringing about 10:15 so we made our way up to the square. Before long a procession of carollers arrived through the streets from a town higher up the mountain – along with a sheep!
We followed them and the locals into the church where we were treated to a candlelit mass in Italian with carols in French and Latin sung by the most amazing local choir ! Such voices !
We even got a welcome shoutout during the mass !
Following the service, there was mulled wine and Panetone in the square for all .
