Arrived in Rome at lunch time after getting lost in the backstreets trying to find out air b&b – another great apartment behind a very very old door!
2 blocks away from Piazza Navona.
We settled in – had lunch at home and a rest. RC went out exploring the antiques areas for a few hours ( so so so tempting!) at the cafe under our place where the old guys were engaged in some vigorous chess games . While we were watching at Chinese American girl came along and challenged them to some games and then cleaned them up! Very entertaining to watch!
Went for dinner with the Roman family at our favourite Cuccuroo on the river .
Final day in Rome was a very relaxing day just walked around and relaxed . Discovered a new area behind Piazza Cavour and through Prato we haven’t explored before .
Afternoon JC headed off to Sant Angelo castle while RC checked out the vintage shops!
Lovely final dinner at Nicoletta’s.
