Spent today getting to know our new location .
Started out my navigating our way to Maria’s apartment and then the short walk into town. Verona is much larger, busier and much more beautiful than we expected .
Navigated our way through some very cute streets and markets to reach Piazza Bra – what a treat with its open spaces, greenery and colored houses – all with the ancient arena in the background.
After a stroll around the piazza we spent a good few hours enjoying the Verona Arena .
Even found an inscription to the real Emperor Josephus !
After this we set off the walk through the luxury shopping strip where RC got left behind looking at all the fanciness .
Boys went ahead to get calzone to eat from the markets where RC eventually caught up.
Finished up in beautiful piazza erbe from where we headed back home , enjoying the night lit streets .
