Rainy day – so the kids headed off to go carting and a boot picnic for lunch!
They loved the go carting Italian style – very fast and furious !
RC hit the shops and then met up with Maria for a long lunch in the piazza .
When for an early new years dinner at an exceptional local bistro we happened upon earlier in the day with a chef/owner with personality plus .
Once Pietro arrived from home we headed out for dinner – beautiful wine and dishes with an opera soundtrack , followed by cards and gambling – Olivia cleaned up!
Later on we set off on a walk in the drizzle to the main piazza to see what was going on.
Concert underway but too drizzly to stay out for long .
We were home before midnight but wow at midnight the neighborhood erupted with noise! Cheering and singing from the balconies and the sky alight with thousands of fire crackers being set off !
